At Ogre Engineering, we are involved within the heart of the energy, agricultural, forestry and marine industries.

 

Due to continued growth, opportunities have arisen for two positions based in the Stonehaven and Laurencekirk areas. 

 

 Hydraulic Mechanical Technician (Based in Stonehaven)

As an Ogre Engineering Hydraulic Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the build, maintenance & operation of the company’s range of hydraulic, electric & pneumatically powered equipment.

Responsibilities will include

 

·        Inspecting, testing, repairing, and preparing various industrial equipment from the oil & gas sector, marine, forestry, commercial and private sectors.

·        Ensuring all relevant and necessary maintenance activities are performed at planned intervals as and when required, and documented reports are completed correctly.

·        Booking in, visually checking and testing equipment on its return from hire as per workshop procedures.

·        Travel to various locations within the UK, offshore and overseas.

 

What experience you will bring

 

·        City & Guilds level 3 in HGV maintenance and repair, or industry equivalent (agricultural, plant and marine), or HNC in Mechanical Engineering

·        Experience in pneumatic and hydraulic systems would be beneficial.

·        Knowledge of rotational systems/equipment

·        Basic electrical knowledge

·        Experience working with mechanical machinery is essential.

·        Welding and fabrication would be an advantage.

Hour’s work are 40 hours per week, 8am - 04.30pm,
